Usha Kirana
Usha Kirana was a Kannada newspaper which had its headquarters in Bangalore, Karnataka. The newspaper was originally established by Vijay Sankeshwar in March 2005 as a sister publication to the Vijaya Karnataka daily.〔(''Vijaya Karnataka to have sibling, Usha Kirana, from March 4'' ) by Noor Warsia & Gokul Krishnamurthy (via Exchange4Media.com, 1 March 2005)〕〔(''Vijaya group launches Kannada daily "Usha Kirana"'' ) by ''Indiantelevision.com Team'' (5 March 2005)〕 Originally, the paper had several simultaneously published editions. In 2006, the paper was sold to Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., publishers of India's leading newspaper, The Times of India, along with all sister publications like ''Vijaya Karnataka''. After ''Bennett, Coleman & Co.'' took over, they closed five editions of the newspaper in September 2006 and started The Times of India's Kannada version〔(''Times to shut 5 Usha Kirana editions'' ) by Mahesh Kulkarni (Business Standard, 14 September 2006)〕 and ''Usha Kirana'' became a history. ==References==
